Video of doctor with 23 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry discussing the coronavirus fact-checked: A video of former Chief Scientific Advisor with Pfizer Dr. Mike Yeadon claiming the Covid-19 pandemic is "fundamentally over" in the UK, and that a prior immunity has already been developed, was fact-checked by Science Feedback after being posted to Facebook. Facebook's fact-checker Science Feedback indicated Yeadon's claims were false and unsupported. "Between September and early November 2020, there was a spike in the number of daily new confirmed COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in the U.K, and this trend will likely persist for some time," the fact-check read. Additionally, it notes that "There is no scientific evidence supporting the claim that many people have preexisting immunity to COVID-19, nor is there evidence indicating that herd immunity has been achieved in the U.K."
