Twitter permanently suspends Dr. Mary Talley Bowden over COVID-19 tweet: Journalist Emily Miller reported that Twitter had suspended Dr. Mary Talley Bowden's account for criticizing the COVID-19 vaccines. Bowden quoted data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) saying, "127 deaths reported to VAERS in children 6 months to 17 years. Pull them off the market. #StoptheShots." Twitter reportedly claimed the tweet violated the platform's policy on "spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19" and suspended her account. "You may not use Twitter's services to share false or misleading information about COVID-19 which may lead to harm," Twitter said. Bowden appealed the suspension. At the time of publication, Twitter had not responded to her appeal.
