Facebook fact-checks LifeNews article posted by Larry Elder: Facebook imposed a fact-check interstitial on an article that GOP presidential candidate Larry Elder posted April 18. Elder posted: "U.N. Report Calls to Legalize Sex with Minors, Pushes Towards Normalization of Pedophilia." The post included a link to an article from LifeNews.com about this issue. Facebook’s interstitial covering the preview of the article claimed that it was "False Information." The interstitial linked to an AFP fact-check titled, “Posts misrepresent UN position on sex between adults and minors.” According to Facebook, users fail to click through fact-check interstitials 95% of the time.
