X censors post by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO): Missouri Senator Josh Hawley posted "Another $60 billion for Ukraine. Not a penny for Missouri. And they’re waiving Ukraine flags on the floor of the House. The politicians have failed this country." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. "Missouri has received $600m in Ukraine aid to supply the Joint Direct Attack Munition-Extended Range (JDAM ER) and the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB) from St. Charles, Mo and the MIM-104 Phased Array Tracking Radar for the Patriot missile system in West Plains, Mo. politico.com/news/2023/11/2…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
