The post included a screenshot of part of the Wikipedia entry for Jeremy Boreing, co-CEO of The Daily Wire. Under his "Early life" section, the entry claimed Boreing was "Born in Slaton, Texas, to a Jewish family." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Wikipedia is not a reliable single source and should never be used as a main source because it can be altered - as this post proves. 'This page was last edited on 22 April 2024, at 02:42 (UTC).' X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
