X (formerly Twitter) Community Notes fact-checks anti-illegal migration post: Podcast host Joey Mannarino shared a New York Post story titled, “Undocumented immigrants will qualify for free health care in California on Jan. 1.” Mannarino commented, “But if you’re a legal citizen, you don’t qualify.” X Community Notes imposed a fact-check label on Mannarino, arguing, “This is untrue. People will have access regardless of their immigration status.” The California government link Community Notes provided did note “limits” and “eligibility rules,” however, meaning not all American citizens qualify for the free health care. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized.
