X community adds a context note to post about 3D printed guns: An X (formerly Twitter) account posted, "PSA: Making plastic firearms on your homemade printer is not a right described in any part of the Constitution or its Amendments." X added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know." The added context read "While the 2nd Amendment does not expressly grant permission for a person to 'make plastic firearms on your homemade printer', the 9th Amendment means that the Constitution doesn’t have to grant express permission for something to be a Right. constitution.congress.gov/constitution/a…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts.
