X community adds a context note to Jason Miller post: Jason Miller, Senior Advisor for Donald Trump, re-posted a post from RNC Research in which was posted two video clips of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden saying the same words in speeches 15 years apart. Miller added his thoughts to the post, saying "Holy shit. Crooked Joe is now plagiarizing Crooked Hillary." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Joe Biden didn’t 'plagiarize' Hillary Clinton. Both were quoting the gospel song 'I Don’t Feel No Ways Tired' by James Cleveland in churches. lyrics.com/lyric/1172753/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
