X community adds a context note to James Woods's post: Actor James Woods posted a video of Kamala Harris, saying "A heartbeat away from having her finger on the nuclear button." The video showed Harris standing in front of a podium that read "Ramble Rants Reproductive Freedom," and saying "Today is today. And yesterday was today yesterday. Tomorrow will be today tomorrow. So live today so the future today will be as the past today as it is tomorrow.” Below the video is a note reading "From Vice President Kamala Harris (barely parody)." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This video clip has been digitally altered. The original video was recorded at a Rally For Reproductive Freedom in April, 2023 (at the 1:00:00 mark): facebook.com/reprofreedomfo…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
