X community adds a context note to Jake Shields's post: Former UFC/MMA fighter Jake Shields posted "They booted a gay black women from president of Harvard and replaced her with a Jewish man Gay black women are the most valued class in America and can scream about the evils of white men all day long They have made it clear who they cannot criticize though." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Dr. Alan Garber is only serving as Harvard’s interim president while they search for Claudine’s replacement. Garber is Jewish but is not Gay’s replacement. msn.com/en-us/news/oth…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
