Twitter (Now X) Community Notes censored House Republicans: House Republicans posted an image several types of Thanksgiving foods that had each allegedly increased in price by five to 10 percent. The graphic had the word "Bidenflation" written across the top and showed "uncooked Turkey," which had supposedly increased by 7.2 percent; "rolls," which had supposedly increased by 5.7 percent; "frozen vegetables," which had allegedly increased by 10.7 percent; and "frozen fruit," which had allegedly increased by eight percent. Accompanying the post, House Republicans wrote: "If you are going to your grocery store today to prepare for Thanksgiving, you'll be paying more thanks to #Bidenomics & #Bidenflation." X Community Notes added a note referring to the photo alleging that the price increases were inaccurate. "None of the numbers shown in this tweet are accurate. In fact, prices for all of the ingredients listed - especially turkey - is lower than previous years. This is clearly demonstrated by the charts and data points shown in this thread:" The note linked to someone who quote tweeted the account citing USDA and Farm Bureau data to dispute the claims made in the House Republicans post.
