X community adds a context note to The Hill's post: Political news site The Hill posted "1 in 5 young Americans think Holocaust was a myth according to a new poll from The Economist/YouGov https://trib.al/flEzRlF." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. It should be noted that this study utilized a non-probability panel sample for its research design - which has been shown to be substantially less effective at capturing accurate and reliable results of the age 18-29 demographic in particular. today.yougov.com/politics/artic… pewresearch.org/methods/2023/0…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
