X community adds a context note to Heritage Foundation's post: Heritage Foundation posted "Europe is well behind the U.S. in providing Ukraine military support. It is a gross disservice to the American people to send $60 billion more of their money in largely unaccountable aid, especially without Ukraine’s European neighbors stepping up their contributions." The post included a short video of several people discussing this issue. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. The European Union and European governments have committed over $148 billion to help Ukraine while the United States has committed $113 billion. Europe has committed more money to help Ukraine since February 2022 than the U.S. ifw-kiel.de/publications/n… x.com/georgewbarros/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
