Hananya Naftali

X Community Notes cites Qatari state-funded media to fact check Israeli post: Israeli speaker Hananya Naftali posted a video clip on Feb. 26 with the comment, “WOW! Over a MILLION stand with Israel in a massive show of support in Brazil today! 🇮🇱🇧🇷 ” X (formerly Twitter) Community Notes slapped a fact check label on Naftali’s post: “This is a rally for Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro held on Sunday 2/25/2024 in São Paulo. The gathering of supporters was in show of strength amid Bolsonaro’s coup probe.” Among the sites Community Notes linked were CNN and Qatari state-funded media Al Jazeera, which regularly promotes propaganda for Gazan terrorist entities. According to The Times of Israel, Bolsonaro showed up to the Brazilian rally (supporting him as he denies his political opponents’ charges of attempting a coup) waving an Israel flag. The outlet added that a “number of Israeli flags could be seen prominently in the crowds gathered for the rally.”
