Facebook deletes post, restricts user's account over COVID-19 post: Facebook deleted a user's post and restricted her account, according to a purported screenshot shared with MRC Free Speech America. Facebook first removed an image of David E. Martin, PhD. The text on the image said, "This man is brilliant and has the evidence to put Fauci and Gates behind bars for what they've done to this world with COVID... You cannot patent something that is naturally occurring. Therefore the only legal patented virus is manufactured. If it is manufactured then that becomes a violation of biological & chemical weapons treaties." The user appealed the platform's decision and Facebook restored the post. The user then tried to share the image again. Facebook claimed the post violated the platform's standards against COVID-19 misinformation and restricted the user's account. The platform prohibited her from posting and commenting for 30 days.
