Twitter claimed the account was suspended for "violating our rules against ban evasion." However, the organization said Twitter had restored Gays Against Groomers' main account the day prior. It is unclear how Gays Against Groomers violated Twitter's rules against ban evasion at the time of suspension. "In our instance, it is clear that big tech prioritizes the feelings of child predators and abusers more than gay people's right to speak. It’s shocking in this day and age that an organization of LGBT people would be silenced," Gays Against Groomers' founder Jaimee Michell told MRC Free Speech America. Twitter did not respond to MRC Free Speech America's request for comment at the time of publication.
