Gateway Pundit

X (formerly Twitter) Community Notes fact-checks news outlet for posting constitutional scholar’s argument: The Gateway Pundit posted on Jan. 4 about a piece it published from constitutional scholar Paul Ingrassia about GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, “In @NikkiHaley’s situation, reports indicate that her parents were not U.S. citizens at the time of her birth in 1972. Based on the Constitution as interpreted by @PaulIngrassia, this disqualifies Haley from presidential or vice-presidential candidacy under the 12th Amendment.” X Community Notes imposed a fact-check label on the post, arguing, “Ambassador Haley is eligible to be President, based on the constitutional requirements laid out: ‘No Person except a natural born Citizen…shall be eligible to the Office of President…’. She was born in South Carolina, automatically making her a U.S. citizen by birth.” X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized.
