Facebook fact-checks a user: According to screenshots, a user reshared a post, which claimed, “Cash is ‘Legal Tender.’ When you get to the cashout and they demand a card, Just leave the correct cash on the counter & take a photo of it ( and a bit of the cashier ) And walk right out! Refusing legal tender Cash is an offence!” Facebook obscured the post with a fact-check interstitial. The interstitial says, “False information. Checked by independent fact-checkers.” It also included a link to an article from Full Fact. Users must click through this filter to view the post. At the time of publishing, the user appears to have deleted the content.
