The Epoch Times

X community adds a context note to an Epoch Times post: The Epoch Times posted "5–4 Supreme Court Majority Says States Can’t Remove Any Federal Candidate From Ballots. Four dissenting justices disagreed with that argument." The post included a link to the Epoch Times article currently headlined "Supreme Court Divided on Key Issue in Trump Ballot Case Despite Unanimous Ruling." However, according to the article's URL, it was previously headlined "5–4 Supreme Court Majority Says States Can’t Remove Any Federal Candidate From Ballots," as reflected in the text of the X post. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Misleading title. Actual vote was unanimous 9-0, additional opinions offered by 4 justices. scotusblog.com/2024/03/suprem… Supreme Court link to announcement: supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
