Dr. Lidiya Angelova

Twitter suspends Dr. Lidiya Angelova: Biomedical doctor Lidiya Angelova was temporarily banned from Twitter. Dr. Angelova posted screenshots of her Twitter account on Substack, in which she tweeted an article about German policy on vaccines: “Yes in Germany people are denied care and close friends and relatives can’t be with a severely injured minor if don’t have an experimental medical product from which the family of Ursula von der Leyen earns millions. How do we call it?” According to her screenshots, Twitter claimed Angelova’s had been “suspended for violating the Twitter Rules. Specifically for: Violating our policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.” (The tweet also contains a link, although the URL address was cut off in the screenshot.) Twitter Rules are meant to prevent a range of inappropriate content from “violent speech,” “gory,” or “adult content,” and “non-consensual nudity” to “platform manipulation and spam.” However, Twitter did not clarify what specific content in Angelova’s tweet or article was false, misleading, or harmful. At the time of writing, Angelova’s account is restored. It is unclear how long the suspension lasted.
