Live Streaming service Twitch indefinitely disables Trump's account: Twitch is a live streaming platform best-known for its use amongst gamers who stream themselves while playing their video games. At a certain point during his presidency, the Trump administration found it worthwhile to begin reaching out to Americans via Twitch and decided to create an account for the president. Twitch has levied restrictions against the president's account in the past, but this time it was disabled indefinitely. “In light of yesterday’s shocking attack on the Capitol, we have disabled President Trump’s Twitch channel,” a Twitch spokesperson said in a statement, according to The Verge. “Given the current extraordinary circumstances and the President’s incendiary rhetoric, we believe this is a necessary step to protect our community and prevent Twitch from being used to incite further violence.” The company said it would reassess Trump’s account after he leaves office.
