Twitter 'permanently suspended' Conflict News account, rejected appeal, then later reversed its decision: Twitter suspended Conflict News, which has lately been posting almost exclusively on the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The account's purported operator Kyle Glen, who also had his account locked, tweeted that the suspension came "without warning and without reason provided." Twitter responded to the user's appeal by "permanently" suspending the account, according to Glen's screenshots. The screenshots show that the platform explained the restriction: "Your account is permanently in read-only mode, which means you can't Tweet, Retweet, or Like content. You won't be able to create new accounts." Archive.org data shows that Twitter restored the account two days later.
