Twitter community adds a context note to Citizen Free Press’s tweet: Citizen Free Press, an independent news organization, tweeted, “President Trump promises to rid America of migrants in the country illegally: ‘We will use all necessary state, local, federal, and military resources to carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.’” The tweet also included a video clip of Trump giving a speech. Twitter added a warning label to the post. The header of the label says, “Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The warning continues, “For context: In 2015, Trump estimated that it would take just ‘18 months to two years’ to deport the 11 million immigrants living in America illegally if elected president. Once elected, Trump’s deportation levels were lower than the Obama administration’s.” It also links to articles from The Daily Mail, The Daily Caller, The Hill, and Pew Research Center.
