Chris Cillizza

X community adds a context note to Chris Cillizza post: Journalist Chris Cillizza posted a reply to another user who had said "Wasn’t there a thing about telling miners losing their jobs because of leftist policy that they should learn to code? Did you learn to code after being fired by CNN?" Cillizza's response read "Dude, you can try to bully me all you want. (CNN didn't fire me but anyway....) I didn't say anything to miners about anything. I don't celebrate when people lose their jobs. It's a very tough thing. We should be able to agree on that." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This statement is a lie. Per Chris Cillizza's own public statements on Twitter, CNN did in fact fire Chris Cillizza: "Well they fired me. So probably not!" twitter.com/ChrisCillizza/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
