X censors Charlie Kirk post: Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, posted "Biden just banned TikTok. It won't go into law till January. He is so controlled by the tech companies that he is risking his support with Gen Z. Younger voters won't forget this." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. TikTok’s Chinese owner, ByteDance, has by January of 2025 to divest the app or it will be blocked in the US. The law has been introduced because of concerns TikTok will share user data with the Chinese government. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
