Twitter community adds a context note to White House tweet: The official Twitter account for Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, tweeted, “Tucker Carlson just brutalized Mike Pence for prioritizing Ukraine despite a litany of social ills afflicting America: Tucker: 'Where's the concern for the United States?' Pence: 'That's not my concern. Tucker I've heard this routine from you before. That's not my concern.'" Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "The tweet is framing Pence as saying that he is not concerned with American cities falling. Pence said, 'That is not my concern' in response to Tucker saying, 'Your concern is that the Ukrainians...don't have enough tanks.'" The note included a link to an article to support the assertion. The label is part of Twitter’s Community Notes system. Twitter users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to tweets.
