Blogspot places sensitive filter over blog heavily quoting then-CATO scholar Dan Mitchell: A user wrote a blog outlining Dan Mitchell's ideas. He referenced the then-CATO scholar, now Center for Freedom and Prosperity board chairman's economic thoughts on inflation. "It is a bad idea because rising prices are the inevitable result when there is more money chasing the same amount of goods. It is a bad idea because it assumes that the economy is weak because of low-interest rates," the author wrote. "It is a bad idea because you don’t solve bad fiscal and regulatory policy with bad monetary policy." The author premised his argument with the claim that "CATO scholar Dan Mitchell should have won the 2008 Nobel Prize but he believes in free markets." Blogspot placed a sensitive content filter over the post that read "This blog may contain sensitive content. In general, Google does not review nor do we endorse the content of this or any blog." The user posted the blog in November of 2010 but the filter was first brought to CensorTrack's attention on July 12, 2022.
