Facebook puts sensitive filter on rap video accusing Israel of genocide: The musician Macklemore posted a music video seemingly glorifying the anti-Israel protestors causing chaos on college campuses, particularly those protesters who were arrested. “HIND’S HALL. Once it’s up on streaming all proceeds to UNRWA,” referring to the United Nations agency accused of deep Hamas ties. “The people they won’t leave, what is threatening about divesting and wanting peace?” the rapper began in the video, referring to the divest from Israel movement. “The problem isn’t the protests, it’s what they’re protesting, it goes against what our country is funding.” Later in the video, the musician accused Israel of “genocide” while showing footage of the Israeli strikes in response to Hamas’s Oct. 7 atrocities. Facebook imposed a sensitive content filter on the anti-Israel music video, saying, “This video may contain sensitive content… This video does not go against our standards, so you can choose to see it.”
