Facebook censors prayer meme claiming "violent or graphic content": A Facebook user shared a prayer meme in a group called Cowboyisms. The meme had an image of a bald eagle bowing its head overlaid with an American flag, and text below reading "Dear God I bow my head and ask, if it be thy will, please save this land from those who seek to destroy it. Amen." Facebook initially applied an interstitial over the image that prevented users from seeing it without clicking through the filter. The filter read "Violent or graphic content. This photo is covered so people can choose whether they want to see it." Once users clicked on the warning, a new label popped up that read "This photo may contain violent or graphic content. We remove things that go against our Community Standards. this photo does not go against our standards, so you can choose to see it." The label contained another link that users had to click in order to see the prayer meme. After some backlash, Facebook removed the filter and warning from the image.
