Twitter censored user's post about pre-election polling, reversed it 4 days after election: A Twitter user chose to QT the following tweet: "Trump better hope these splits are off. Because if they're right, with only ~30% of total ballots are outstanding, I really don't see a clear path for him." This tweet was sent the night before the election. The user had this to say about that tweet from a blue checkmark: "Punditry like this before the 2016 election was what made Democrats overconfident and led many to stay home or cast a protest vote. We need a polling quiet period in the immediate run-up to elections and until the deadline to vote in HI has passed." Twitter flagged this, most likely for election misinformation, and locked the user's account. He chose to appeal the decision, and five days later, around the time that the election was called for Biden, Twitter reversed its decision and unlocked his account. However, the user noted that Twitter "pushes users to delete spiked posts rather than appeal them. At first my suspension was for 12h, but when I appealed that was extended until their decision, with a call to action, and a reward, to delete and rescind the appeal." In the end his appeal left him locked out of his account for 5 days, where he would have only been locked out for 12 hours had he just deleted the tweet.
