X community adds a context note to post about Dianne Feinstein: An X (formerly Twitter) account posted, "When nobody else would touch a gay person because of their fear of AIDS Dianne Feinstein ran to Harvey Milk and stuck her fingers inside his wound to try and stop the bleeding. Thought this a good time to remind folks of that." X added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "Milk was assassinated on November 27, 1978 but the first AIDS cases in the US were not identified until June 1981. There is no evidence anyone present refused to render first aid to Milk for that or any other reason. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscone–M… hiv.gov/hiv-basics/ove…” The label is part of X’s Community Notes system.
