X community adds a context note to Benny Johnson's post: Political commentator Benny Johnson posted "Epstein survivor Sarah Ransome alleges the existence of TAPES of high-profile Epstein associates Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Richard Branson engaging in sexual acts with other victims, filmed by Epstein himself in new bombshell court docs." The post included a screenshot of a purported page from the court documents labeled CONFIDENTIAL. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Epstein victim Sarah Ransome, whose newly unsealed emails from 2016 are cited here, told The New Yorker in 2019 that she fabricated this claim 'to draw attention to Epstein’s behavior,' and to make him believe that she had 'evidence that would come out if he harmed me.'" storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco… newyorker.com/magazine/2019/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
