X community adds a context note to Benny Johnson's post: Political commentator Benny Johnson posted "BREAKING: The White House has now UNLISTED Joe Biden’s humiliating press conference from Thursday night, effectively hiding it from their page unless you have the direct link." The post included a screenshot purportedly showing that the video had been unlisted. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This post is misleading. Although the livestream was unlisted from the channel, The White House had reuploaded the press conference in full to add sign language interpretation and closed captioning support. youtu.be/PCT-i-S_I98?si…." The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
