X community adds a context note to Axios reporter's post: Axios political reporter Barak Ravid posted "Former President Trump called for a ceasefire in Gaza and didn't mention the hostages https://axios.com/2024/03/25/trump-israel-end-gaza-war-losing-world-interview." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Donald Trump didn’t call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Trump said: 'You have to finish up your war. To finish it up. You gotta get it done. And, I am sure you will do that. And we gotta get to peace, we can't have this going on… you have to finish up, you have to get the job done' israelhayom.com/2024/03/25/tru…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
