Azealia Banks

Twitter suspends Azealia Banks for suggesting Feds spend money helping farmers rather than paying for sex change operations: Singer Azealia Banks got her Twitter account suspended for going on what is being framed as a "transphobic rant." In the profanity filled tweets, she made several points. One is that a biological male who believes he is a woman may want "free healthcare to pay for breast implants," while a "cis gender woman can't make the argument that she's uncomfortable with the size of her breasts" and get the same free breast implants. She also suggested that people making "arguments for universal healthcare - stop spending the money sedating and castrating people and allot it to the ... $3,500 antiviral treatments for humans" with COVID who need the treatment to survive. She also suggested that these "luxury transgender health care 'rights'" be cancelled and the funds be redirected "to the Latino farmers working to actually feed any of us through this crisis." Regarding the farmers, she went on to say that "they deserve access to the Trump COVID treatments more than any" transgender person needs to have re-assignment surgery or hormones. This rant landed her with an account suspension for an undetermined amount of time.
