X community adds a context note to Axios post: The Axios X account posted "SCOOP: Nikki Haley is under active consideration by Donald Trump's campaign to be his running mate, two people familiar with the dynamic told Axios." The post linked to an Axios article about the subject. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Donald Trump disputed this claim on his Truth Social account, posting the following: "Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well! DJT" truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTru…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later. Axios later updated the linked article to add "Update: Trump nixes Haley for VP."
