Anon Conservative Twitter Accounts

Twitter reportedly suspending anonymous conservative accounts based on who they follow: Breitbart tech reporter Allum Bokhari tweeted Dec. 6 that "New Twitter leadership appears to be purging right wing anon accounts." Bokhari noted "No pretext could ban all of these accounts at the same time" and suspected "[s]ome kind of new banning algorithm has been deployed, probably using network analysis to suppress an entire cluster at once." Bokhari tweeted snapshots of four suspended accounts. Further investigation confirmed that three of the accounts remained suspended. An account belonging to @vers_laLune appears to have been restored. The user tweeted a screenshot showing that Twitter claimed it suspended the @vers_laLune account due to violations of Twitter's rules "against platform manipulation and spam." According to Bokhari's analysis, "Sources reporting that accounts they’ve never even tweeted from have been banned. Suggests this purge is based on who you follow, not what you’ve tweeted." In his estimation, "New CEO [Parag Agrawal] obviously wants to gain status with the media, so he’s letting the censors at Trust & Safety run wild."
