X censored Andy Ngo's post about alleged criminal transwoman: Journalist Andy Ngo posted screenshots of his X censorship notice. He had re-posted one of his posts from March 2025 detailing charges filed against "A Portland trans activist named Adam Matthew Lansky" for attacks on a Tesla store. This earlier post included several photos of Lansky. Ngo was providing an update on the litigation, explaining that "Federal liberal Oregon judge Stacie F. Beckerman has ordered that a Trantifa fire bomber and shooting suspect be released from jail ahead of trial. The DOJ appealed but a second liberal judge, Adrienne Nelson, sided with the first judge." According to the screenshot, X let Ngo know that it "put a warning message on these posts because they might have sensitive content - like nudity, sexual content, violence, gore, or hateful symbols." Such sensitive content filters do not allow users on the mobile app who have the sensitive filter enabled on their profile, the default setting, to view the filtered content at all. On the web version of X, users must click through the sensitive content interstitial in order to view the filtered content. Not only do such filters give the impression of inappropriate content, similar filters have been shown to reduce user interaction with content.
