Facebook fact checks user's for sharing anti-mask article: Facebook fact-checked a user for sharing a Vanguard article. The article had the headline, "WARNING: Prolonged use of facemask produces hypoxia." According to a purported screenshot, the user captioned the post, "The government is so evil and all these ppl [sic] are believing them." Facebook claimed the post included "false information" and linked to an article by independent fact-checkers. Posts with fact checks are negatively affected because users fail to click through a fact-check interstitial to see the post 95% of the time.
