X community adds a context note to an amuse post: X (formerly Twitter) account "amuse" posted "SOURCE: Rep. Dean Phillips received almost twice as many votes as Biden did in the New Hampshire primary. The Democrat Party, in an effort not to embarrass the president, 'found' 50,000+ write in votes for Biden to give him the 'win'. This follows Dean's claim that his party is 'Delusional Right Now.'" The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Dean Phillips himself says this is untrue, and there is no evidence to support the claims in the tweet twitter.com/deanbphillips/… npr.org/2024/01/23/122…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
