X Community Notes defends Apple from accusation of spreading COVID-19 infection: Engineer Amir (@WorkaholicDavid) posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Feb. 24, “I got Covid because of my Vision Pro demo, and I can prove it. I had my Vision Pro demo on Saturday, Feb 17, during the morning. I was at home the days before that. I also went home after my demo. Sunday, the day after, I started getting my covid symptoms and eventually tested positive. The fact that Apple does not clean Vision Pros between demos is gross and disgusting. This shouldn't be someone's experience from a company that wants people to experience these. Do better.” X Community Notes imposed a fact check on the post, arguing, “While it is true that you can get Covid from wearing the Vision Pro, that doesn't mean that the author couldn't get the virus from somewhere else. Assuming that Apple doesn't clean its products is factually false.” The Community Note added, “Also they do have covers to replace after demos;” linking to a Reddit post.
