The post included screenshots of two different X posts. The first was from Fetterman's account on Sep. 16 that said, "Hold that line, @UAW! On mow ay to join you now," and included a photo of the PA Senator giving a thumbs up sign to the camera while sporting a mustache. The other was from Chris D. Jackson's account on Sep. 17 that said, "BREAKING Sen. John Letterman drove nearly 5 hours to join UAW workers protesting in Michigan. Well done, Senator." This post included a photo of Fetterman sitting in the driver's side of a vehicle with the door open, sporting a goatee beard and no mustache. X’s Community Notes added a context graph to the post that currently reads, "The picture on the right [with goatee] was taken by The Washington Post on April 3, 2022 during Fetterman’s senate campaign. It is not a recent photograph. washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts.
