Twitter removed Abir Ballan's tweet quoting a JAMA study on the effects of rushing the COVID-19 vaccines: Pandemics Data and Analytics (PANDA) Executive Committee member Abir Ballan quoted a study entitled "Adverse Consequences of Rushing a SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine" published by the Journal of the American Medical Association. "One company, Cutter Laboratories, distributed a vaccine so contaminated with live poliovirus that 70 000 children who received that vaccine developed muscle weakness, 164 were permanently paralyzed, and 10 died" she quoted in her tweet, according to a purported screenshot she posted in her Substack newsletter. She also linked to the study where the quote could be found. Twiter had her remove the tweet because it broke its "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19."
