X community adds a context note to user's post: Abed A. Ayoub, the National Executive Director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, posted "City of Dearborn Election Results Uncommitted: 3,703 - 75% Joe Biden: 1,141 - 23% It’s not business as usual in Michigan. The experts and DC insiders are once again wrong." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Results cited here were incomplete, not including the absentee votes which accounted for over half the total. As of 11:30pm EST, Dearborn's results were Biden: 4517 (40.37%) Uncommitted: 6290 (56.22%) cityofdearborn.org/documents/city…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
