Squawk Box co-host Joe Kernen sparred with a Democratic strategist over whether or not Democrats believe in the rule of law.
Kernen rebuffed strategist Steve McMahon’s claim that Democrats believed in the rule of law saying, “Yes, the laws that they uh, that they kind of consider important.”

Kernen and McMahon were discussing an off-camera interaction they had on March 2, while a clip of Hillary Clinton aired. McMahon laughed at Kernen who said he was glad that Clinton was “pushing the rule of law.”
“I thought you were laughing when off-camera, when Hillary was talking about the rule of law,” Kernen said.
“I was actually laughing at your cynicism,” McMahon told him before claiming Democrats support the rule of law.
