MRC Business took a trip down memory lane to illustrate why Netflix co-founder and Executive Chairman Reed Hastings’ multimillion-dollar support for Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidency is about as cringy as it gets.

The Information reported July 23 that Hastings gave a whopping $7 million donation to the leftist Republican Accountability PAC to bolster Harris’ candidacy, “his biggest donation ever in support of a single candidate.” Hastings boasted of his newfound enthusiasm to The Information for the 2024 election after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, “‘After the depressing debate, we are in the game again.’” But this isn’t the flex that the left may think it is, given the disgusting content that Hastings’ Netflix has continued to stream on its platform and promote with impunity.

Look no further than Netflix’s pseudo-comedy hodgepodge That 90’s Show (sequel series to That 70s Show), which is replete with content sexualizing children. In one episode, a grandma tricks teens Jay (Mace Coronel) and Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan) into her hot tub where she sexually assaults them with her foot as a laugh track plays.

Her granddaughter later reveals she does it “all the time,” especially to “the cute ones.” Another example involves the character Donna (Laura Prepon) giving her daughter Leia (Callie Haverda) advice on anal sex. Also, in the episode “Something to Talk About,” a friend group approaches teen Nikki’s (Sam Morelos) door and assumes she’s masturbating when they hear her grunting. In the “I Can See Clearly Now” episode, a scene opens with teen characters Nikki and Nate back together because they can’t resist having sex with each other:

Oh but it gets worse. Netflix’s so-called dramedy Survival of the Thickest featured a kid who travels to New York to see his favorite drag queen perform in an adult drag bar as the main characters get him in with the promise he won’t drink. In episode 7, “Let it Out, B*tch!” the character Mavis and her friends go to their favorite drag bar CC Bloom’s where Mavis styles the drag queens. A supposed non-binary high school kid named Billy (Misha Osherovich) who tried to get into the show says “they” paid $32 in tolls just to see drag queen Peppermint (played by real-life drag queen Peppermint) perform. Mavis appeals to the door person Egypt (Rovan Sena) to let Billy in, and Egypt agrees.

Animation isn’t even safe on Hastings’ Netflix. Netflix’s popular show targeted at toddlers and preschoolers “CoCoMelon Lane” streamed an episode featuring a little boy Nico dancing in a tutu and tiara gleefully for his two gay dads.

Netflix also apparently has a penchant for making the sexualization of children an international phenomenon. In an episode of the Australian dramedy Wellmania, character Liv — miffed that parents didn’t make a birthday party exciting enough for kids — swooped in with a dance party, where young, innocent children are shown playing while the vulgar lyrics to Cardi B’s song “Wet A** Pu**y" plagues the background.

The sick, twisted psyche of Netflix’s creative team seems to know no bounds. The final season of the vile “comedy” F is for Family took the sexualization of children to the utter extremes. Episode four, “Thank You So Much,” families with young children attend a Thanksgiving parade where a donkey float passes and the shadow of its penis falls across the faces of children in the crowd as the emcee remarks how large it is. That’s not all. A vandalized vendor truck also passes with a picture of a little boy enjoying a popsicle with graffiti of a penis ejaculating into the boy’s mouth and female breasts drawn onto his chest.

In episode five, The Searchers, child characters Bill and Philip invite friends over to see one of two cartoon films the police allowed them to choose from a box marked “Inadmissible” in the locked evidence cage. However, one of the reels ends up being a pornographic movie, which they accidentally show to their friends.

Normal people with a functioning prefrontal cortex would consider the Christmas holiday sancro-sanct for family-friendly content, but not so for the sex-obsessed Netflix. A Christmas episode of the platform’s animated Big Mouth show for tweens was case-in-point. The holiday special, “A Very Big Mouth Christmas” episode begins with "Hormone Monster" Maury saying that the show will deliver what no other Christmas special will – the viewers will see "Santa’s dick." In one scene, two elves (400-year-old virgins) walk in on Santa and Mrs. Claus having sex. When Santa realizes the elves are there, he turns to face them and his naked penis is exposed. Ho ho ho.

Last but not least, who can forget the self-inflicted wound Netflix received when it outraged Americans by peddling the highly disturbing movie Cuties as some sort of highlight of artistic license. “Inappropriate” doesn’t even begin to describe how horrific this movie was. One IMDB parental warning summarized the content succinctly: “During one of the many highly sexualized & erotic dance scenes that purposefully exploit & objectify numerous scantily clad under age girls, one of the female child dancers lifts up her cropped top to fully display her bare breast. This is lawfully defined as pedophilia and can be extremely distressing to many viewers.”
