Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth had one piece of advice to give former President Donald Trump for his upcoming rallies: Hammer President Joe Biden’s disastrous handling of the economy.

Hegseth advised Trump to “look forward while looking at what Joe Biden has done to his legacy — what he’s done to his policies that have created a Jimmy Carter stagflation-type moment.” Hegseth said that Trump should “rail” on the “stagflation” talking point while mentioning “the potential of the future” during the May 21 edition of Kudlow on Fox Business. Hegseth ripped how Biden’s leftist agenda managed to send the economy into a tailspin just months into his presidency: “Who would have thought it would have been this destructive this quickly?”

Hegseth even suggested Trump “roll tape like he did on the campaign on the video screen of the things he predicted would happen as far as energy, as far as economic growth, as far as jobs, as far as the border.” In Hegseth’s estimation, “All the things he forecasted, have, unfortunately, come true. He could stand up there and say, ‘It doesn’t have to be that way, folks.’”

Inflation recently “accelerated at its fastest pace since 2008 last month with the Consumer Price Index spiking 4.2% from a year ago, compared to the Dow Jones estimate for a 3.6% increase,” according to CNBC. In addition, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) recently reported that the U.S. economy added an embarrassing 266,000 jobs in April. The report completely destroyed the media hype about the jobs growth under Biden. The media’s glowing job predictions were off by anywhere between 734,000 jobs and 1,734,000 jobs.

The Wall Street Journal Assistant Editor James Freeman wrote that the Philadelphia Federal Reserve found “that companies in its region are seeing the same thing that consumers are seeing all over the country: rising prices.” Freeman noted that “Fed officials keep insisting current price surges are just temporary.” However, “the Philadelphia Fed report suggests that business executives aren’t expecting the phenomenon to end tomorrow,’” Freeman continued.
