The left’s boycott strategy doesn’t always work.

Since the beginning of February, Ivanka Trump Collection has seen “some of the best performing weeks in the history of the brand" president of Ivanka Trump Collection, Abigail Klem, told Ana Colon of Refinery29.

Over the last several months, liberal media outlets have propped up the #grabyourwallet movement that created a list of retailers to boycott because they carry Trump family products. Those efforts particularly targeted Ivanka Trump’s clothing line.

The Huffington Post’s Jamie Feldman highlighted the list, saying it is a “one-stop way to boycott the Trumps.” New York Times columnist Rachel Abrams praised #grabyourwallet’s founder Shannon Coulter in a lengthy piece that sympathized with her desire to shop “with a clear conscience.”

Slate Columnist Christina Cauterucci wrote, on Feb. 6, that Ivanka should “suffer the consequences” of boycotts for helping to “mainstream” the Trump name’s association with “Muslim bans and press suppression.”

But, despite their efforts “between January and February this year, Ivanka Trump Collection saw a 346% boost, in terms of how many people shopped the brand on Lyst” Colon said. “Compared to February 2016, the final tally was a 557% increase from the same month last year, She added.”

Instead of suffering, the Ivanka brand has skyrocketed. “For several different retailers Ivanka Trump was a top performer online,” Klem explained “in some of the categories it was the [brand’s] best performance ever."

This news may disappoint Liberals in Hollywood who gleefully celebrated retailer Nordstrom’s decision to stop carrying Ivanka products, even though Nordstrom claimed their decision was based on performance not politics.
