Twitter community adds a context note to Trump War Room tweet: Trump War Room, an official account for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, tweeted, "DeSanctimonious is now making a show of promising to fire FBI Director Christopher Wray, but DeSantis voted FOR Wray’s confirmation in 2017, praising him as 'talented, capable & highly respected.'" Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "The FBI director is voted on by the senate. Ron DeSantis was not in the senate, he was in the house. DeSantis did not and could not vote for Wray’s confirmation.” This note included several links to support this assertion. The label is part of Twitter’s Community Notes system. Twitter users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to tweets.
