Twitter restricts account of American Principles Project President Terry Schilling after he acknowledged parents' anger at how leftists view parental roles: Terry Schilling, president of the pro-family PAC American Principles Project, responded to an article tweeted by Washington Post Opinion entitled "Parents claim they have the right to shape their kids’ school curriculum. They don’t." Schilling responded by tweeting "If I were @Terry McAuliffe I would burn this guy's house down. Parents are coming." Twitter restricted Schilling's account for 12 hours according to a screenshot tweeted by National Pulse Editor in Chief, Raheem Kassam. The platform also removed the tweet for "violating [its] rules against abuse and harassment," and forced Schilling to delete the tweet and "acknowledge that [the] tweet violated the Twitter Rules" in order to regain access to his account, according to a screenshot Schilling posted on GETTR. In the GETTR post, he explained why he used the words he chose. "Hey Twitter nerds! This is called graphic imagery to stress a point. Not a threat, dumbasses. Turn my account back on!"
